Wudang Tai Chi (武當太極拳) is a style of Tai Chi that originated in the Wudang Mountains of China. It is a form of internal martial arts and is characterized by its slow, flowing movements and emphasis on balance and harmony.
It is said to have been developed by Zhang Sanfeng, a legendary Taoist monk who lived in the 12th century. Zhang Sanfeng is believed to have combined elements of Daoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism to create a system of Tai Chi that emphasized both physical and mental well-being.
This short video shows a young practitioner (10 years old) of Wudang performing the movements quickly instead of slowly. https://news.cgtn.com/news/2023-11-11/Tai-Chi-routine-conveys-Taoist-wisdom-1oE3kVqV9aU/index.html
